Akshay Kumar ready with his first Marathi movie

Akshay Kumar has become a hands-on producer now as he is aware that there will be a time when he wouldn’t be able to do lead roles in movies. Hence, he is honing his production ventures in every direction possible and this man doesn’t want to focus just on Hindi films but spread his reach to other languages as well. His first Marathi movie as a producer has completed its shoot and will soon enter the post production phase. It is called 72 Mail and is directed by National Award winning director Rajiv Patil.
Patil told reporters that Akshay Kumar was interested in making a Marathi film. A common friend who knew about this got the two to meet. He narrated the story and Akshay lapped it up. He agreed to produce the movie. They have just finished the shooting and will now get the post production work started. There are reports that the movie is about a 13 year old who walks all the way from Satara to Kolhapur in 1960. But Patil won’t confirm the story and said that they are not at the liberty to discuss the story or about the cast of the film. The makers have asked them to not say a word about the film.

When asked if Akshay can be seen in the film, Patil replied that he is just active on the project as a producer, well, that’s a tad disappointing as we know Akshay’s Marathi is impeccable. It would have been fascinating to see him do a cameo in the film. What say people?
